Jason R.Houle
Nickname: None to date
Age: 30 something
Occupation: Human Resources Professional
Current Certification Level: PADI Master Instructor
Best Scuba Course Ever Taken & Why: IDC Staff Course. The Instructor Development Course enhanced my personal leadership skills like no other course I ever have taken. Everyday these skills allow me to reach my goals and to assist others in reaching their goals.
Favorite Course(s) To Teach & Why: Divemaster. I love watching the change in others when they develop into an effective Scuba Professional.
Dive Experience: 80% Teaching, 20% Pleasure, Mostly fresh water
Best Dive(s): For me it's not about the diving. It's about changing someone's life for the better. My best dive was on the Wreck of the Arabia, Tobermory. I was diving with a nervous youngster who was having trouble getting comfortable underwater all weekend. I wasn't sure that we would actually get to the wreck that day. The dive went smooth, the visibility was fantastic and she was elated. What made that dive the best dive for me was overhearing her description of the dive and the smile it put on her mother's face That's why I teach, that's why I dive.
Worst Dive: The wreck of the Arabia, Tobermory. Too many "learning" experiences.
Other Interests: Camping, Hiking, International Travel.
Little Known Fact About Me: Despite my appearance, I'm actually 168 lbs. and all Muscle!
Personal Goal(s): To be a positive influence on everyone I know.
Personal Motto: Accentuate the positive in everything you do!
Inspirational words: If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. Be a leader.
